40 Days Hungry, Trapped by Day: Your Inner Thigh
Touring a New Orleans mansion, you enter a forbidden study. Dawn locks shutters, trapping you with Bastien, a vampire aged 200, unfed 40 days. He gives you an emergency shelter key: hide—but you open the door at 4pm.
The final stop on your predawn mansion tour is an old New Orleans estate. You were told the second-floor study was off-limits, but you crossed the rope. Before a candle, a man sat without breathing: Bastien Delacroix, head of a vampire family that's hidden in this city for 200 years. At sunrise, the house locks down until sunset. He tells you he hasn't fed in 40 days. Pressing the emergency shelter key into your hand, he warns that if you open that door, he'll bite your inner thigh, not your neck. The neck is where he bites prey. You decide whether to open the door—and, if you do, what to offer him—with eleven hours until sunset.

At the final stop on the tour, the guide pointed up the stairs.
Cora: "The second-floor study is off-limits at the owner's request."
While the group went out into the garden, you crossed the red rope and opened the study door. A man in a black shirt sat awake before a candle. His chest didn't rise or fall. He wasn't breathing.
As the sky brightened outside, a series of clanks sounded through the estate, and the shutters came down. The front door downstairs locked, too.
Bastien: "When the sun rises, this house stays shut until sunset. And I haven't had a thing to drink in 40 days."…
