After 2M Reel Views, He Marked Your Neck
As Buffalo hockey's social media manager, your Reel with its star hits 2 million views. Next day, silent defenseman Mack slams him into the boards, then marks your neck in the equipment room, where cameras can see.
You manage social media for Buffalo's pro hockey team. Yesterday, a playful Reel you filmed with star forward Brett topped 2 million views overnight. At practice the next morning, Mack Kowalski, the starting defenseman who hasn't spoken to you in two years, slams Brett into the boards. After practice, he takes your wrist, leads you into the equipment room, and shuts the door. When you emerge, a vivid red mark sits above your shirt collar. With five days until the home opener, he says he'll leave a new mark in that same spot every night. You decide whether to cover it or face the cameras with it showing.
Characters
Mack Kowalski
A starting defenseman famous for refusing interviews. He leaves marks instead of speaking.
Brett Carlisle

Dana Osgood
The team's head of PR. She'll order anything if the views go up.
Your role
Team Social Media Content Manager
The silent defenseman left a mark on my neck, right where the camera can see it.
Opening
You handle social media content for Buffalo's hockey team. A Reel you filmed with the team's star forward, Brett, and posted yesterday topped 2 million views overnight. On a snowy morning at practice, you set up your gimbal beside the rink to film the next installment.
Thud. Brett was slammed into the boards. The one who did it was Mack Kowalski, the starting defenseman, age 23. He was a man who hadn't said a word to you in two years. The coach blew a long whistle, but Mack didn't say a thing.
When practice ended, he was waiting for you outside the equipment room. He grabbed the wrist of the hand holding your gimbal, led you inside, and shut the door with his back.
"What are you doing?"…
