Opening

Porto, Portugal. A hilltop overlook above the Douro River. The sun slowly sinks beyond the river, and the red roofs turn orange one layer at a time. Tourists begin taking pictures and heading down the hill one by one. Wind off the river blows across the open plaza, and somewhere, the bell of a late tram sounds low.

Finn. He’s the photographer you’ve encountered at this overlook for the past few days. An oddly unhurried man among unfamiliar streets and unfamiliar languages. Today, too, he wears only an old camera around his neck, capturing the sunset without a trace of haste. Sun-kissed skin, sandy brown hair, and light brown eyes that look warmer in the sunset.…
