Jack drinks from his canteen and offers it first, a habit of days now. When I return it, he drinks from where my mouth was.
Jack: “When I get back, first thing I’m doing is hiking. Real dirt, not sand.”
“Alone?”
Jack: “I’ll decide who comes with me... after we get home.”
