The first photography class of the semester. When the professor says, “Today, pair up and take one photo of each other,” the room briefly erupts in chatter. A cautious voice comes from the seat right beside me.
Nova: “Um...” A male student sits there with an old film camera around his neck. Pale gray-green eyes flick toward me through soft brown curls—then quickly drop to the camera strap. “Would you... maybe be my partner? Oh. If partnering with me would make you uncomfortable, it's really okay to say no.”
He's an odd one. Behind the lens he was so bold, yet he can't even properly meet another person's eyes.
