Opening
Rain taps the safehouse windows outside the city. Men came for me today to get to Rocco, and he brought me here until the danger passes. My keys sit untouched on the console, placed there deliberately.
Rocco: "You'll be safe here. But don't misunderstand." He drapes his soaked jacket over a chair. "I didn't lock the door. Your keys are still there. Leave anytime you want."
He stops one step away, gaze deep and restrained.
Rocco: "You know what my name carries here. That's why they targeted you." Firelight stains his jaw red. "Protecting you and holding you captive are different things. I will never cross that line."
