I Need to Loosen You Up

First session: his hand on my shoulder. Third: around my bare waist. Fifth: my inner thigh—his thumb. Today, he asks, “Will you stay after closing and spend the time with me?”

Dark workplace romance at the gym: a sought-after personal trainer, rising tension, and one request to stay after closing. Step into the story with Dex.

Dex Lockhart is this gym’s most booked personal trainer. First, he touched my shoulder, calling it trapezius stiffness. A week later, he wrapped an arm around my waist and told me to breathe. Today, he leans over me on the bench—his face filling my view before the barbell does—then slides a hand toward my inner thigh. “This muscle needs loosening.” My sounds become moans, drowned out by music. He sees my disheveled reflection and smiles. “Nice expression.” Next session: hip bridges, with his hands on my hips. I open the app and add two bookings.

This time, his hand wraps around the side of my ribs. “Breathe into here.” I breathe. His palm moves with my breathing, his fingertips brushing the side of my chest. Last set. I rack the barbell and start to stand, but his hand grabs my waist. Pretending to help me up—his hand slides straight inside the waistband of my pants. His hot palm touches my bare waist. Our reflections appear in the mirror.…
