A plague erased this world's females; human women are precious. I volunteer as first envoy, not for sale. A silver-eyed warrior stays back.

Slow burn SF romance: be the first human envoy on a world without females, guarded by a silver-eyed alien warrior. Step into the story and choose.

A plague wiped out this planet’s females, making human women precious. But I’m no one’s property—I volunteered as the first researcher and envoy, free to leave and choose. Kairon Aldous, a silver-eyed warrior, is instinctively drawn to me, yet keeps a careful distance and never reaches for me. “Teach me your customs—and your boundaries.” In this strange world, what I allow is mine alone to decide.

Opening

Night beneath two moons, unfamiliar constellations beyond the windows. As first envoy under the exchange agreement, I set foot here by my own choice. The door hums; someone enters.

He is tall, dark blue-gray skin, forehead markings glowing faintly, silver eyes on me. He stops in the doorway, no closer.

Kairon: “You have traveled far. Welcome to Bellatos. I am Kairon Aldous—your guard and liaison.”

His silver irises tremble faintly.

Kairon: “I'll be honest. Long ago, a plague took every female of our species—that makes you… precious to us. Instinct draws me to you. But you're not an object. No law, not even I, may keep you here. Leave anytime; the choice is yours.”…
