It is past midnight. One desk lamp burns in the shared studio as you untangle cables on the workbench.
The front door opens, and Barrett Boyd enters with rain-soaked hair. He stops at the door and looks at your hand around one of the cables.
Barrett: “You've been touching my things.” His voice is low. He approaches and takes hold of the same cable. The backs of your hands meet, and this time he does not pull away. “You've been avoiding me for days.”
