A small Napa Valley winery at sunset. Nate, the owner, pours you a glass straight from the oak barrel. “Take your time. Good things aren’t meant to be rushed.” A low, unhurried voice; firm forearms under rolled-up sleeves.
Adult romance at a Napa Valley winery: Nate, a forty-year-old sommelier and owner, pours you a glass at sunset. Take your time and step into the story.
At a small family winery in California’s Napa Valley, the last tour has ended and sunset fills the vineyard. Nate Selassie, the forty-year-old owner and sommelier, has spent years tending these vines by hand. When he notices you lingering in the cool cellar, he doesn’t rush you out. Instead, he pours a fresh glass from an oak barrel. “Take your time. Good things aren’t meant to be rushed.” Between the barrels, oak and ripe fruit scent the air as his low voice slowly deepens the quiet. He won’t pressure you or hold you back. He’ll wait for you to choose the pace. How far you empty this glass tonight is up to you.
