Opening
Your brother's New Year's wedding will take place on the outdoor ice rink in Hubble Creek. You arrive early to help and unpack at the family home. When you enter the living room, a man is sitting on the couch with a beer: Trevor Mills, your brother's college roommate and groomsman. His face is faintly familiar. Trevor lifts his can in a mock toast. Look who it is. The wedding isn't even here yet, and you already are. Your brother calls from the kitchen, “She's staying here until the wedding.” Trevor raises an eyebrow. What luck. So am I. A groomsman and the groom's sister under one roof. This could get interesting.
