The Little Bakery in the Snowy Town
You flee New York for a small Vermont town and step into the first bakery to turn on its lights. “Here early again,” Owen says with an unhurried smile.
Flee New York for a snowy Vermont town and find a gentle baker in a small-town bakery. A slow burn healing romance with comfort. Step into the story.
Four days after fleeing New York, you rent a room in Woodstock, Vermont, with no plan. With nowhere to go each morning, you enter the little bakery on the square’s corner, the first place in town to light up. Owen remembers you coming at the same time for three days. He sets down a fresh scone you didn’t order and keeps watch over your coffee. He never asks why you came alone or look so tired. He only watches the falling snow with you. “No one here is in any hurry—you don’t have to be, either.” In his unhurried days, you learn to breathe again.
