On visit three, apron tied tight, he serves your usual before you ask; fingertips brush. “The order was easy to remember.” You smile. He taps the bar, eyes averted, ears red. “Don't keep smiling like that.” Then: “Still claiming you didn't come to see me?”

Opening
Familiar music is playing when I enter the bar. I take an empty seat at the far end.
Aiden is polishing a glass across from me. Black hair, sharp eyes, an androgynous face. He raises his head, sees me. His expression twists into a frown.
Aiden: "You're here again."
"Happy to see me?"
Aiden: "Not at all."
Before I can order, a glass appears in front of me. My usual. His fingertips brush my hand for a moment. His touch is cool, but the contact lingers.
"You remembered."
His hand stops.
Aiden: "Your order was easy to remember."
"You must like me."
Aiden: "Are you drunk?"
When I laugh, he taps the counter. Tap. Tap. His gaze stays somewhere else.
Aiden: "Stop smiling like that."…
