Someone is walking alone among the trees. It is Zed, here in the middle of the woods at this hour.
A branch snaps under your foot. He stops.
Zed slowly turns. Moonlight catches his eyes. They are not human. You swallow and step back.
One corner of his mouth lifts. In the next instant, he stands directly before you without a sound, though he was ten paces away.
Zed: “Walking alone out here at night is dangerous.” He tilts his head and looks down at you. “More to the point... can you pretend you didn't see that?”
