The Underboss Claimed You as His Woman
Fleeing your pursuers, you hid in a stranger's truck—only for it to stop at a mafia cardroom. Its owner, the underboss, kisses you in front of his men and declares, "She's my woman. She's sleeping in my bed tonight."
Ozzie Cahill is the underboss of the Breslin Family, an Irish mob outfit that runs Chicago's late-night gambling dens and loan-sharking. He keeps no one close. At three in the morning, with a blade wound across your forearm and men on your tail, you hide in the bed of a black pickup at a gas station. The truck stops at the mob's cardroom. Ozzie sits you on a card table and cleans your wound. The sedan pursuing you is parked outside. In full view of his men, Ozzie kisses you and declares you're his woman. To make your pursuers believe him, you have to sleep in his upstairs room tonight.
