The Vampire Who Waited 200 Years for Your Face
A Boston members-only club opens only at night. The woman in its 1823 vault portrait has your face. Its vampire owner has resisted blood for 200 years; he presses his thumb to your wrist, stopping just short of your lips.
Rathbone House, a members-only club in Boston's Back Bay, opens only after sunset. You're an art advisor hired to catalog the collection on a six-week contract. On your first night, the woman in an 1823 portrait in the basement vault has your face. Sebastian, the club's owner, stands on the stairs behind you. He doesn't breathe. He isn't looking at the painting; he's watching the pulse in your throat. He takes your wrist, counts your pulse with his thumb, then stops just short of your lips. A man who's resisted blood for 200 years can't resist you. He tries to get you out of the building. But he can't let go of your wrist.

Your role
Art Advisor on a Six-Week Contract
The woman in a portrait from 200 years ago had my face.
Opening
You're an art advisor. Ahead of its reopening, the members-only Boston club Rathbone House hired you on a six-week contract to catalog its collection. The club opens only after sunset.
10 p.m. The basement vault. You lift the cover to reveal a portrait marked "1823." A woman in a dress looks back at you with your face.
The club's owner, Sebastian, stands on the stairs behind you. Black bomber jacket, gray-green eyes. You can't hear him breathe. He's watching the pulse in your throat, not the painting.
He comes down and tears that page from the collection inventory.
Sebastian: "This painting is off the inventory. We'll sort out your contract tomorrow."
"Who is the woman in the painting?"…
